Need 4 Link Help from Suspension Gurus For my Club Car DS
I decided to design my own 4 link for my Club Car DS. I’m going to add in Monroe MA705 air shocks which I already have. I can’t figure out the triangulated links. As you can see below I’ve designed the bracket for the axle and shock. It will connect a bar from it to the stock location of the club car frame. The L bracket represents the club car frame where the current leaf springs attach. Can the bars making up the triangle go From center of frame to bracket or to top of axle if I weld on a bracket? I’ve seen diagrams on line but am having a hard time translating to this cart. Any help is appreciated. And FYI I’m 3D printing my proto parts for mockup and will have the finished pieces plasma cut and I will weld them.

You could use muffler clamps as a way to have a removable weld point on the axle tubes --- weld a C frame up and across the differential -- use flat stock and make a brace that uses the top bolt bolts of the transaxle to handle the torque.

He is talking about building a brace over the differential pumpkin where you can attach the upper links. I think it will be easier to attach at the ends than center.
When I did this I went with a 2 link and a panhard bar. It works great. Good Luck with the build |

Ah I see. Thank you. That first pic looks almost like a wishbone setup

Now I’m headed down the watts link rabbit hole. It’s a real cool setup

Solidworks.
I 3D printed my setup and made some final modeling adjustments. Gonna get the pieces plasma cut and then I’ll weld them up. Decided to do a panhard bar. Just need to figure out where I want to mount that |
