Re: Roypow Lithium Review
The RoyPow we are talking about is the 51V-105AH and according to the information below it uses 16S1P of LF105 cells:
http://www.roypowusa.com/?page_id=26...0specificationThose cells have a range of 2.5v-3.65v: http://www.roypowtech.com/upload/201...0110502862.jpgSo the absolute maximum cutoffs are: Low voltage = 2.5v x 16 = 40vIf You don't have a BMS the settings Alltrax recommends would likely cause damage to the cells. If You have a BMS and it is properly configured, the settings Alltrax recommends will cause the BMS to shut off during Regen and it could shut off during drive and that can damage the controller. I have no idea why they would recommend setting the Controller voltages in a way that would force the BMS to trigger, perhaps they think you are referring to Lead Acid batteries or they don't know you are talking about LiFePO4 chemistry. |

Re: Roypow Lithium Review
I’m not smart enough to reason why, but we were specifically talking about this battery when he made the comment that the settings were fine. For yourself and others, I’m inclined to take your advice, because they are a controller company, at least not at this time a battery company if that makes sense to other readers.

Re: Roypow Lithium Review
For all those concerned about battery output, I have a ginormous cart with a Plum quick high amp motor and an alltrax 600 amp controller. I have had zero issues with amp output. The battery has done just fine. I pop wheelies all day. And I have the 56AH pack. These packs will out perform what theyre spec sheets show. My graphs at the beginning of the forum will show that. They spike at 600 amps, and thats because my controller stops it there

Re: Roypow Lithium Review
Must say I'm happier by the day with my 51v 105ah... should have done it sooner! Don't track miles but use mine daily and charge maybe once a week... maybe.

Re: Roypow Lithium Review
Really enjoying my 56ah pack in my mostly stock DS. If I had to nitpick I would say the discharge indicator bars drop a little more conservatively than what is probably true. After about 14 miles with 2 bars left I’m still over 52 volts.
