It sounds like you found the way to do it, but here’s an old bgw that describes it too. http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/elect...ric-motor.html

Keep bumping this along for someone with a definitive answer, but I still think your solenoid activation circuit is separate and doesn’t have anything to do with the motor. Are you able to follow that diagram I posted?

1. The attached PDF file is a pretty good checklist for a PDS motor and controller. It is for a stock PDS motor, but the Ohmic values for the PQ motor ought to be in the same ballpark.

2. Also attached is drawing of how to test a sepex motor.

3. Put controller in diagnostic mode and listen for beeped error codes. Text at bottom of attached label tells you how to put controller in diag mode.

---------------
The bad news is; if the motor is shorted out it probably took the controller along with it.

The good news is; an Alltrax XCT48400-PDS controller really perks up a PDS.

Not doing so might give inaccurate readings.
No I didn't. I'll run another test with it disconnected.

I tired to do the diagnostic on the controller but I'm no longer getting the reverse buzzer. Tried multiple times and the buzzer will not chime.

If you are getting opens where you should be getting low Ohms when you check your motor, and getting low Ohms where you should get opens, chances are high that the motor and controller have departed this earthly veil of tears.

Ok so I got the switch to beep in reverse. I tried to put it in diagnostic mode but it only beeped when the key is in the on position which was 2 beeps total. I dont have a personality chip in it. So seems like a new controller and motor is due
