Charger kicks on but won’t charge
I have a 1988 easy go marathon 48. I have just installed new batteries in it. Check the wiring diagram 10 times and the batteries are wired correctly. I plug in the charger and the charger kicks on. But, it’s not charging the car. The meter on the front of the charger is reading zero. But, the charger is definitely coming on. If anybody has some help I’m all ears!

Charger kicks on but won’t charge
You’re hearing only one side of the relay coming on. What kind of charger is it?

Re: Charger kicks on but won’t charge
So it's a 48v marathon? They were 36v from the factory, and would have came with a 36v charger. 36v chargers don't charge 48v battery packs.

Re: Charger kicks on but won’t charge
It’s a Lester charger. The big heavy square ones. LOL it’s definitely a 48 V charger because it work before.
