The system EZGO sells on their website for $850 cost about $500 most other places.
Search for kicker PXiBT100.2
It's a very good system and can play very loud.

Kicker also makes a smaller similar system which is closer to your $300 budget.

I think you could get either installed about $100

I just want something easy to install and use, wireless, with my ipod...... thanks for the suggestion! I wonder if that have that one at amazon or ebay? I'll check!

I bought this at Amazon. It's loud. Bass is ok.
Plug into lighter outlet and connect to bluetooth and you're rockin.
Doesn't get any easier.

I have used this Altec Lansing bluetooth speaker on four cart builds. Everyone is happy. It has a 1/4-20 threaded mount that can be used with a homemade bracket and thumb screw on the cart. This picture is from a Yamaha G29. And you can take it with you away from the cart. USB outlet for charge cable.

I ended up buying a really nice speaker with a built in dedicated woofer by a company called "Nyne" for $115 and it's wonderful! It's about the size of a bread box. It sits on my floorboard for now. I wish I could figure out a way to mount it somewhere. I hate to leave it just sitting there--someone could easily grab it and run. It's bluetooth, wirelss of course, and sort of elliptical shaped. It's been great! Very happy with it.

Heads up, there is an Altec Lansing speaker on amazon's daily deals today for $80. I don't know if it's any good but it looks similar to one one pictured.

I also am a big fan of the Nyne speaker from SAMs. It has some of the best bass I have ever heard from a footlong BT speaker. My friend has a top dollar Bose, and it doesn't hold a candle to the Nyne.

Mounting may be a bit tricky, but with a fabricated bracket, it could be done fairly easily. I use mine all over the place, so I just take it with me when I go for a ride in the cart. Battery run time is really good too.

I use a JBL Charge3. Plenty of sound and bass and it's water and dust proof to boot. Lasts up to 20 hours on a charge or you can run it off your usb plug if you have one installed.

We have some JBL charge also, got it for the camper because I did not want to run wires, works great. Best part is you can take it with you for any activity you want. I also got a bluetooth transmitter to put on my tv, like 18.00
