Default Starting my lithium build

I’ll start out by saying the amount of info in here is insane! I love this forum!

I’m building a hot rod 1983 EzGo marathon with all new electrical guts, and I’ve decided to go the lithium route. I’ve got my whole system basically sketched out, I just need to find some Leaf modules. The trick is finding a set in Canada, as it’s extremely expensive to ship them from the US.

I’m planning on a 7 module pack to save space for the air system and stereo the cart is eventually getting. The cart will be stock height, 20” tires, with a 500 amp Alltrax and Bandit motor. I found these ones on eBay, which are tested at 52 ah. Is that amp hour rating ok for my plans, or are they too depleted?

There is still a lot of life in that pack.... I run a 7 module pack and never had an issue. I do have a stereo, 6 speakers and an amp on mine.....

Be careful with the Bandit (great motor upgrade) because unless something has changed, PQ use to not recommend it with larger tires....

That’s what I was hoped to hear. Really hard to find them up here.

The bandit isn’t my first choice, but this cart has the perpendicular motor mount, and I don’t think there are many options for it.....could be wrong though. My tires are closer to 19” tall, as well.

You will probably be fine. If you have any concerns, just call Robby at Plum Quick.....

I love these little old school builds. After I finish up my wife's Precedent and my RXV lithium conversions and upgrading I'm going to be on the hunt for my hot rod project. Since your already doing a complete conversion and system upgrade have you considered adding a couple of more cells and going to 72v... Just because... ;)

Yup it’s something different. I normally build lifted precedents, but I want to build a “golf” specific cart this time, just for the course. I actually considered 72v, but I’m honestly not sure if I can get a motor for that old marathon transaxle.

This is my last build I did for a customer....

Very cool looking Precedent. Did you create the nose components to go over the existing cowl? Either way, very nice biuld.

It’s a madjax Alpha body kit, with an Armor front bumper. I made the custom grills for it and powder coated the whole works to match. We were going for something one of a kind.
