Default Ezgo pds bottomed out and now won't go

New to the forum and carts as well. I have a 2003 ezgo pds 36volt with the plum quick reworked motor. Today I was riding and seemed to have bottomed the cart out on some rough pavement and the cart immediately shut down. I have reverse buzzer and lights but when I press the accelerator, nothing. The solenoid doesn't click. I looked under the cart and didn't see any obvious damage. I also bypassed the reed valve but that wasnt it either. Anyone one else ever have this problem?

Welcome! You probably damaged the cable coming from the throttle box to the controller. Grey cover with 4 wires in it. Flip the run Tow switch to Tow before messing with the wires.

Ok so I checked under the cart and the grey covered wires look good. The undercarriage doesnt even look like it scrubbed. I will say that when I bottomed out it felt more like i ran over something and was dragging it. When I push the cart a few feet it feels like something isnt catching in the rear end. Are these motors chain driven?

No chain, all gears from the motor to the axle. There’s some good manuals at the top of the page in the stickies.

Thanks! So I tested the motor by hooking it to a 12v batter and there was no movement whatsoever. I'm thinking the motor might be shot. If that's the case. Would the motor being shot have any effect on the solenoid not engaging?

Hmm, are you sure you tested it correctly? The procedure gets posted on here quite often. I'm not an expert, and have a series cart, but even on a pds, the solenoid activation circuit is kinda it's own thing. Get the pds wiring diagram from the stickies and start tracing pack voltage from the charge receptacle to the solenoid.

No not sure. I looked up a video online and tried it that way hooking a car battery to it after jacking up the rear end. I also check for a short in the motor with my multimeter and on the points where there shouldn't be continuity there was and on the points that there was supposed to be continuity there wasnt. Would that mean that the motor has a short?

Did you have calves dissconnected from motor when checking?
Not doing so might give inaccurate readings.
