Re: Lithium Battery Conversion - LV & HV control relay wiring
The LV and HV ports on the Zeva are connected in series to each other in the negative path.
The part on the manual you highlighted is NOT the same as in my circuit representation. The picture you want is on the same page on the manual under the heading "Protection Using a Single Contactor" Yes, You will need to use the 36v versions of the relay: T9AP1D52-36-01 Since You only have 10 cells please notice it does take a special wiring on the Zeva BMS since you need at least 4 cells in each voltage sampling bank. |

Re: Lithium Battery Conversion - LV & HV control relay wiring
Sergio-
I appreciate the information and the response Ian helped me with how the wiring to the cells are supposed to be so I am good there. Still confused about the LV/HV in series on the negative path. Is it basically just a flip-flop of the drawing on page 4. (I redid the schematic) If that's it, then I think I have it What do you think? |

Re: Lithium Battery Conversion - LV & HV control relay wiring
My mistake, I did not notice the thumbnail was different than the larger picture on that post.
That is correct as you shown, both the LV and HV relays in the Zeva need to close to complete the signal. |

Re: Lithium Battery Conversion - LV & HV control relay wiring
So the original one I sent in red is okay or the recent one with the yellow highlighter is correct?

Re: Lithium Battery Conversion - LV & HV control relay wiring
Either one works, those terminals on the LV and HV connections are not polarized.

Re: Lithium Battery Conversion - LV & HV control relay wiring
one more question, I don't see a 36v double throw relay for the K4 relay on your schematic.
Will the 48v work for the sleep option or can you help me out with a solution here? Maybe an automotive 36v SPDT relay? Thanks Jeff |

Re: Lithium Battery Conversion - LV & HV control relay wiring
Yes the 36v version of that relay is hard to find since they only make with the low power "L" coil option.
Those cube style relays are not as efficient but for this application they will work fine, maybe this type: https://www.amazon.com/uxcell-Automo...JCT/ref=sr_1_2 |

Re: Lithium Battery Conversion - LV & HV control relay wiring
That was exactly what I was looking at Sergio.
Thank you for all your help Jeff |

Re: Lithium Battery Conversion - LV & HV control relay wiring
Maybe I needed to do this; looks like my LV relay is dead; open.
