Recommendations On Rear Springs
Looking to add some sturdier springs to the back of my stock height 87' Marathon. It already sits about an inch lower in the back and I'm afraid once I get two people sitting on the back seat it will sag too much, and I don't need the back being weighed down anymore to risk that lightweight front end coming up! I read that heavy duty springs make it ride like crap and medium duty springs should do the trick while still maintaining a good ride. Any recommendations on a good spring? I'm new to this.

Re: Recommendations On Rear Springs
Only experience I have is with my '98 series TXT - 16 +/- years old at the time. I ordered the HD from shopezgo.com, front and back, and they ride fine for me. Probably 80%+ is on paved roads, and 10% is a fairly smooth gravel road, and 10% is trail-blazing with pretty rough terrain. Mine seem fine with just me, and I don't bottom out on several steep changes of grade (wooden bridge and some driveways) with three additional passengers like I used to. I do have two extra batteries as well.

Mine are fine, but I essentially have a small passenger, with two additional T-105s.

Re: Recommendations On Rear Springs
Cool thanks. Not sure I want to go with "heavy" duty springs since a lot of the time it is just me and my dog on the cart. I do want some bounce. Just don't want the back to sag too much with two passengers back there or bottom out. Is there anything between stock and heavy duty? Like medium duty? I also wouldn't mind raising the back up an inch.

Re: Recommendations On Rear Springs
I went with the Dual Action springs on my 2003 DS.
I can't say how the ride is yet, doing electrical stuff now. I got them from Jasons, a site sponsor. For E-Z-Go http://www.jasonsgolfcarts.com/Rear_...p/spn-1031.htm Thread for Precedent http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/elect...precedent.html |
