Default 2008 Precedent

I have a 2008 Electric Precedent and I'm in the process of installing a light kit. The kit says connect the existing 12 pin connector to the 12 pin from the light kit. I only can find a 9 pin connector on my golf cart. Am I missing something? Other than 3 pins!

Don't you have a 12 pin in the dash?

Doesn't your new harness have a 12 pin on one end and a nine pin on the other end? Mine does...

Sounds like your cart didn't come with the 12 pin bucket harness??? You might have to purchase one. Please review the wiring diagram and you will see at the top L/H side the 12 pin connector that should be there.
This wire harness will run under the floor mat on the R/H side of the cart.

I thought all precedents came with the "bucket" harness??? Unless he bought it used and someone "borrowed" it.

Shouldn't it have a 9 pin connector on the left side behind dash and a 12 pin connector on right side behind dash . . . ??

Precedent changed things over in 2008. If you have the 2008.5 then you have a different harness. You can tell if you have the battery box that holds the 4x12 or 6x8 batteries and your tow/run switch is on the back wall. If so, you have a 2008.5!

Yep . . earlier 4-12V configurations had 12 pin harness . . later 6-8V and 4-12V configurations did not have 12 pin harness . . .
