Default Does anybody know what this is?

Trying to figure this box out. 1 wire goes to a stud by solenoid then up to B- on controller. The other wire goes to a ground plate w other spades to hook grounds to.

It's a voltage regulator. Usually used as a reducer to get down to 12volts for the lights, etc.

you should only have it connected to two battery's so that it steps down 16v to 12v. if your keeping the cart i advise you get a 48v to 12v reducer

I believe its a factory item. I do have a reducer but need to know what this is. Theres a reason its on my cart and im wanting to get to the bottom of this. It makes no sence why is metering at 41v if its a reducer unless its bad but idk how to test it.

The positive to whatever you are powering has to come from battery #5..
