Re: Charging different brand batteries with ERIC charger?
I just came across this thread, after starting a search since I just had a T875 explode in my new 2021 Club Car Onward 48v HP AC drive.
I haven't checked the current software version or what algorithm is pre programed in the charger ( stock CC ERIC charger). Gonna do that today. Does anyone here have any fresh information on this topic? Is algorithm #3 still relevant on newer CCs? Thanks Sent from my SM-N986U using Tapatalk |

Re: Charging different brand batteries with ERIC charger?
Hello,
Does anyone have the software update for ERIC mentioned here? I tried loading algo 71 but my ERIC just flashes the orange triangle. Thanks |

Re: Charging different brand batteries with ERIC charger?
They are 4-12v 100 Ah LiFePO4 batteries. My current algorithm is 256 and the ending voltage is too high for the new batteries. Charging with CV-CC DC power supply currently.

Re: Charging different brand batteries with ERIC charger?
Hi All.. first and foremost, thank you to everyone who contributes to this forum. It has helped me every time I have had a problem.
I have a Club Car Onward, and just replaced the factory PD+ batteries to Crown CR-150 (literally the only thing in stock around me). My ERIC Deltaq charger faulted immediately, and I learned through this post that I need to update the Algorithm. I found a fact sheet on the Cr-150 batteries which states to use Algorithm 61. I did. Worked great, started charging. I was thrilled after 2-3 days of frustrating troubleshooting. When I thought all was resolved, I sat back and noticed the charger cycles off and on every 5 mins. Not sure if it always did that in the past? Never noticed before. But worse, when I unplugged it from the cart, it doesn't turn off. I'm worried if I leave it plugged in it may be just cook the batteries and not turn off? Sergio's post was very helpful, and I am wondering if maybe I should try Algorithm 3, which is mostly for Trojan T-105 batteries. If anyone has experienced something similar or has suggestions, I would be beyond grateful.. I am at a loss right now. Thanks, Tim |

Re: Charging different brand batteries with ERIC charger?
I'm pretty certain that on the ERIC carts the main charge lead goes to the solenoid, so you shouldn't have had any issues with that being put back incorrectly. However, it may be possible that you reversed one battery, or did not get the connected back in the proper series.
Double check your battery cables and that each one goes from - to + on the next battery. What voltage is present at the charge receptacle Red wire? |

Re: Charging different brand batteries with ERIC charger?
I'm pretty sure I have all the wiring correctly.. cart runs perfect.. it tested at 50.4 or 50.8 using the main positive and negative. If I could figure out how to upload a pic here, I have one of the complete battery bay.
I did find a specific algorithm 61 for the cr-150 batteries now. While it doesn't shut off immediately after unplugging it does after about 5 mins.. which is better.. and the charger does go solid green with flashing green above when it is fully charged.. so I think that does stop charging.. I sent delta-q a message as well, will respond back with any update from them. Thanks! |

Re: Charging different brand batteries with ERIC charger?
Does anyone know what algorithm 31 is for the CC Eric charger? I have seen that algorithm on both of the only two Eric chargers I have worked with. I changed both chargers over to algorithm 3 as both carts use Trojan T875's.
On Delta Q's site I don't even see a listing for algorithm 31. |

I used the delta-q site and their chart https://support.delta-q.com/hc/en-us...-Descriptions- and their table says a 8v 170ah generic battery should use algo 71, so I loaded on their today going to see how it goes. |
