Default something shorted out

I dropped a piece of angle iron across the batteries (42volts)and sparks flew and now nothing works from 42 volts. All of the 12volt system works fine but I have nothing,no clicking or anything from the 42v side. I opened the controller box but it don't look cooked.I have no idea where to start, any help would be appreciated.

What drive type does you Western 42V have, Series or Sepex?
Or what EZGO cart is it based on? (So I can find a schematic to look at for troubleshooting advice)

What is the battery pack voltage? (44.56V would be fully charged for a 42V pack)
Is there a fuse in the 42V circuit?
What controller is used?

My cart is a 42volt with 7-6volt batteries in series
I have no idea what ezgo it's based on,these westerns are basterdized and I can't find any 42 volt parts for them but the drive train seems to be the same as a ezgo
My battery pack voltage is 44.75
As far as fuses go I only found 1,but is is OK
My controller is a curtis 73326G07 that has a diagnostic code but I need to have power to the key and reverse switch to use it.
Thanks for you help!

I'm not 100% sure, but based on the part number you gave for the controller, this should be pretty close to what you have.
Of course the number of batteries is different.

Let me know if it matches up with your cart.

It's hard for me to tell if this is the correct wiring, but if it's not, it's very close. The wires are all enclosed in black tubing. Where do I start?

The sticky above dated 1-13-2008 by ruredy " basic Ezgo electric golf cart wiring" for PDS golf cart wiring looks like the right one for my 2005 Western 42v golf cart.Where would I start to find my problem.

Start by tracing out the solenoid activation circuit. I'm as summing the solenoid does not click when you try to go. Use your DMM to trace the + side of the circuit as marked in the diagram.
