Default Hard starting after sitting for a few days

OK guys and gals, got one for the gurus. I have 3 gas EZ's now and don't get to drive them all each day so they tend to sit. Problem I have is after sitting for just a couple of days they can be a bear to get started to the point of spraying carb cleaner in the carb. Is this a fuel evaporation thing and it is just taking some time to refill the bowl? I wouldn't think so but after they get running they are fine and if I start them everyday, they will start fine the next. May have to choke them for a sec but they will start.

I am considering installing a primer bulb like used in marine outboards so if I haven't driven one I can fill the bowl before I even turn the switch.

Any ideas ?

If its cold outside put a hotter plug in it,4 stroke ezgo's seem to get weird in cold weather.

Hello,

1
Check your gaslines if they close up tight enough to the fittings.
Check your pump if it's leaking gas.

2
Check if there is air in the lines so the pumpcapacity isn't enough.
Benno

It seems to me as gas going back to the tank / pump or out into the air.

Check the choke function, is it working all the way?

SM, don't have any fuel leaking anywhere and don't smell it. Guess it could be a bad connection on the suction side of the pump. Will check that.

Dooms, I will double check but I believe the choke is closing all the way.

Problem is I have 3 carts doing this. Just for grins I am going to put in a fuel bulb with a check valve built in like they use in boats. Can't hurt. Before I try to start just pump it up.

Won't be able to until this weekend but will post results.

Thanks everyone

Plus will do wonders though, i always had to drop a few numbers to a hotter plug to get it to run longer than 5 seconds in the winter.

Smoke, Thats funny right there I think that one has gotten claimed already by either my nephew or my bud that helps me tear through these things and the pink one you would have to fight my daughter for.. I may however put the blue one up for sale. Don't know yet.

btw, I am supposed to pick up a factory EZ bed cooler for her workhorse tomorrow. I can see my summer.... Honey, go get daddy a cold beverage

Just an update. Installed a primer bulb inline and after sitting for a few days tried it out. No difference. Well crappo. Oh well, it was worth a shot. Hotter plugs were suggested, anyone got any part numbers ?
