Default Re: Spring Kits for Clutches?????

Thanks all of you for the information. I am definitely going to order at least the one spring. I also see that they sell a two spring kit one for the drive and one for the driven. do I need just the one or should I buy the kit with the two springs?

Thanks
Carlo

I think this will help a lot because it seems to grab at a very low RPM where the engine does not seem to have much power. As soon as it gets past that spot it seems to pick up.

Thanks

Guys,
I bought the red High Torque spring and the new pads. Took my Driven clutch apart and it was shot. Pads were so worn that the cam had been riding on the bolts that hold the pads. So I ordered a new clutch when it came in it was a 28. I was not sure if I should use it or not, but I decided to install the Red spring and put it on the cart. The cart is definitely a lot smoother and transitions a lot better, but it did nothing to improve off idle performance. I think I need a stiffer spring for the drive clutch so that the RPM is a little higher before it grabs.

Did I make a mistake using the 28 degree Driven clutch? Do any of you guys recommend a good high torque spring for the drive clutch that will work. Everyone I seem to find is for 08 and newer mine is a 06.

Thanks guys

Carlo C.

I installed the Gboost kit with springs for both clutches, clutch buttons, and the HD belt for my 2013 TXT and it didn't affect top speed at all. Mine will go 30 mph on flat ground and has great torque on the hills.
