Is this exactly what was happening before you deleted the "System Volume Information" folder?

Just trying to understand if the charger did anything different.

I am assuming the drive is formatted as 'FAT32' right?

Did You look inside the USB drive subfolders to make sure no extra hidden files were present?

Yes this is after deleting the folder. I did look and there is nothing in the 2 folders.
Files--ALGOS and SW. there is 1 file in ALGOS and nothing in SW
Filters-- has a runme file.

Im trying a different USB this afternoon. The one i had is an 64gb and I cant get it to format in fat32. it was exfat.

I got my hands on a 8gb and formated it in fat32

That is most likely your issue, I am sure the charger does not know how to handle EXFAT partitions, get that updated and charge those batteries

Alright! I think it worked. It's charging now. Will update what the log looks like. How likely is the chances I may have screwed my batteries as they are still in the break in period?

I would put the chances at 1%, those Lead Acid Batteries are very tolerant and the "break-in" period is more about not placing large current demand on the batteries.

Well it look like #3 finally is loaded correctly. I have not notices any boiling over yet. is there a way you can tell other than looking for corrosion on the post? the batteries look clean as a whistle.

After reading this thread and multiple others, should I keep the club car algorithm #31 when replacing my batteries with crown 165’s, or use the #3 algorithm (since we don’t have a temp probe option). I’m trying to resolve this now, as I plan to replace my original pack with the Crown 165’s this weekend and want to start off on the right foot!

No one knows what #31 does since it is an OEM spec (You should use #3).

While doing a little more research on algorithm #71 which would apply to your lower 165AH crowns, and #3 for exactly how they differ in the charging profile, I came across some interesting documents.

A few things I noticed:

The temperature compensated profiles apply a "pulsing" method on the beginning of the cycle and terminate based on their "overcharge" setting.

If You use a temperature compensated profile, and Your charger model has a temperature probe connection but You not using it, it should be connected to negative so the charger stays at the 25°C mark.

The NON temperature compensated profiles use dV/dT to terminate the charging.

The #71 and others in that group use a strict dV/dT termination that is checked every hour.

They all have an 18 hour "bulk" timeout and not 16 hours as commonly referenced.

The maintenance mode starts every 30 days or when the voltage drops below 2.08VPC

I know some other folks here would like this information so I am posting

That's great info Sergio!
I tried to find that stuff and never could figure it out. Is it on the Delta-Q website somewhere or did you have to ask them for it?

The 16 hours time-out applies only to OBC carts. I think the time-out for charging with the ERIC or other smart chargers will depend on the algorithm.
