FYI - ERIC charging algorithm and battery watering
Just an FYI regarding charging algorithms...
I use my '14 Precedent almost every day, and always put it on the charger when done. I had to check my batteries at least every 3 weeks and always had to add quite a bit of water to each cell. About 3 months ago, I contacted Delta-Q to get the best algorithm for my T875 batteries (algorithm #1). Since then, I have added MAYBE a total of about 4 ounces of water - probably less. Every time I check it now, all of the cells are still full and there is no sign of any boil-over. I think the algorithm that came with my charger was over charging the pack (I would see readings on my VM of 62+) and causing a lot of boil-over. Now, the highest I see is mid 50s, with it usually settling on 51.9 or so. I still check my water every month in case something changes, but I sure like not having to keep topping them off all the time. |
