Default YDRE Upgrade Options

Hi Gents,

I have a 2012 YDREX2 that I am wanting to crank up a bit. It currently has a Hitachi DM430-06A motor and a Moric JW2-H6510-01 controller.

I have put a rear seat on it so we can hit the course with the kids as well.

I’m wanting to increase speed and torque without touching the gearing at this point in time. Can anyone suggest upgraded controller and motor that may work well together? Would an Alltrax be the right option? If so, would the motor need to be replaced at the same time?

Cheers,

Matt.

I also have a 12 that is setup close to yours. Dropped an Alltrax xct300 in it that bought used from someone here who upgraded and mine has been fine but normally driven by my sister and mother. Would have gotten the 400 if I bought new. Took it to like 22-23mph and smoother. Hitachi motor died last year and replaced it with a D&D from a local dealer. Good to go.

If you’re looking for a controller and motor combo I’d go plowmans riot kit. Plowmans has great stuff and the best customer service in the biz. I don’t think you can find anyone that has anything bad to say about him or anything he sells if you tried.

Another vote for Plowman's Riot kit. Great kit and an excellent vendor

The tin-can Hitachi motor and Moric controller are both junk. Call Don Plowman at Plowman's Carts and discuss his Riot Kit. He can program it for speed or torque or both.
You won't be disappointed.
