Redbeard Garage Vanguard mini bike
For all you Vanguard fans I see Redbeards Garage is building a Vanguard Vtwin mini bike. It looks like he going to do the whole high rpm build with billet rods shaved pistons and a billet flywheel.

Thats funny many years ago I read about in the UK they would make motorcycles with v twins, they get around taxes and they get great mpg. Then they made them with diesel v twins. They could get 60 mph or something, used them for screwing around on the cheap. I thought about getting a coleman minibike and building a gx200 with a rod and cam/etc like they did but I just dont know if I would use it. I rather build a little quad with one but can't find many quads or have to scrounge a used. If you buy a new chinese one it already runs so whats the point.
Sounds like a fun project none the less.  |
