Your test pilot is freaking nuts!

1. 51 mph on a mower
2. No helmet
3. No shirt

Great job on the mower!

Ya my pilots one of them crazy old bikers LOL Once the engine gets broken in to where we can really rev on it Red Ryder will really fly. It's not the normal mower, the front end is fully suspended with spring over shocks and rack - pinion steering. The spindles and hubs are from a Yamaha G2 and the original ball bearings were changed out for high speed tapered roller bearings. The front end is really tight with tire pressure set at 10 lbs. The rear skips a little with solid suspension and 10 lbs pressure. One other thing that makes it stable -- it weights about 550 lbs

It has a stock 41cc head that has been hand ported. 31 and 36mm diameter stainless steel valves that I used the VC springs and titanium cap and split valve keepers. This engine is one of there newer series with the 10 to 1 compression ratio. Standard head but a flat top piston. I'm not sure if Aaron made a mistake or they changed there specs -- this was his response to a max rpm question by BrutalSoldier -- Max RPM's is 5500 WOT. So now I'm on hold as to how many R's Red Ryder can turn. I have always been concerned about the lack of air shrouds on the 460. I bought the tin work for the head on the bottom. It tunnels airflow around the base of the valve pockets. I'm working on a top air shroud. The one I have won't let me use the spark plug cap I'm running. I have a 5000 ohm resistor cap that isn't as tall as the original and makes running the plug wire a minor problem with the Equus tachometer pickup.

Nice fab work! It must be right to be able to run 51 mph,
