Follow up on the 82: muffler fire was a success...
drove this baby at the lake all summer, ran like a top with zero issues after the rebuild.

WOW That is Nice Looking 1982 Harley cart. I think that is pretty rare cart particularly that nice. Glad it all worked out

Is that a later engine with the oil injection? Just thinking from what I can see in the photos it looks strange around the fan inlet.

It is the columbia type engine but I think oil injection came after 1982. This engine looks identical to my 1982. Besides some of the internals most everything is different on the 1982 and up.

Ray is correct. It is the Columbia motor, not oil injected.

The mesh over the fan inlet isn’t original , it was cut from some scrap wire mesh i had kicking around...

That's a good looking cart. These carts are a dying breed for sure. It's nice to see a few folks out there saving a few of them.

What's the frame looking thing near the fan inlet? I don't remember mine having anything like that. I kinda remember mine having a screen when I got it but I took it off and never put it back because of having to constantly mess with the points at first.
