Re: Vtwin G1
slo, these are the easy questions. You have a motor that you can measure. If you can't handle that, we'll never get to the hard questions.

Re: Vtwin G1
Lol. I'm in my jammies.
Ok. Nevermind that. So am I going to like this thing with the governor? I plan to get the engine installed, wired, running, etc. Make sure this is what I want to do. Then I'll build it. Or....someone....will build it. Do you think Bokes engine will be tame at low rpm's and usable? Or is that a race motor? |

Boke's motor is a serious sleeper. He can run it tame if he wants to, or he can whack the throttle and get after it. It should run the same as mine as far as drivability. If you baby it, it will drive like a stock motor. If you have a lead foot, look out! Did you read my response to your comparison thread? |

Re: Vtwin G1
Alright. Is it worth building the 16? Or should I look for something else to modify? What I like about the 16 is it's size. It should fit right into my cart without any modifications. But if it's not worth putting money into, then I don't want to waste my time. You know me. I spend money on the cart. I'm not afraid to do that. What I can't do is go buy a $1900 brand new vanguard. So the 16 is what I have at the moment. Is this going to be worth it?

Re: Vtwin G1
I did. And I value your opinion probably more than you realize. I know we have poked at each other here and there. But I think you know I'm just a motorhead who likes to go fast. I've probably listened more to your advice than anyone else on here.

Re: Vtwin G1
Maybe you haven't been paying attention to my ramblings. That's understandable since you haven't had a need until now. The 16hp Vanny can produce some pretty sick power. It is only slightly slimmer that the 18/20hp because of the fan shroud. What is the "code" number on your motor?

Re: Vtwin G1
It is on the main shroud at the 4-o'clock position. That will determine the vintage of the motor. Give me all the numbers, xxxxxx xxxxxx xxxx.
