Default New E-Z-GO Express L6 Gas owner

Hey E-Z-GOer’s
Just purchased a 2021 Express L6 Gas cart. We pick it up next week.

Any recommendations, modifications or general advice for a new car owner?
Really hoping there are some adjustments or simple modifications to get more torque & top end out of our L6 gasser

Thank you
Jason

Tighten up the slack out of the throttle cable. It will give you a nice little bump in speed. 👍

Hoping to order/purchase an L6 in the next week or so. still stuck on the whole gas vs electric (72v vs lithium) question though. Not an easy decision. Dealer is pushing lithium but im not sure its for the correct reasons. Anyway, good luck with yours

That new EX1 EZGO engine is only 150ccs but *appears* to have some scooter origins...GY6?

Does it even have the same mechanical governor on the transaxle?

I was torn as well. I like the torque and the silence of the Electric cart but I went with the gas cart due to my comfort with good ol’ gas engines. I am not familiar enough with the electric motor setup and was worried if the electric cart malfunctioned i would be forced to haul it to a dealer on every issue. I hope I don’t regret my decision but wasn’t ready to play outside my comfort zone.

You won’t regret it. I work on more electric carts. Only time I see a gas cart is for a basic maintenance which is normally rotate tires, change oil and grease and repack bearings. Gas and go normally. Electric is a lot more maintenance.

i have a 2016 E-Z-GO Express L6 Gas as well, anyone know if it possible to add a lithium battery just for accessories like [radio with 4 speakers], 30" LED light bar, a couple of accent lighting, etc?

i still have the factory start up battery, but i love to listen to the sound system and use all the lights when parked, so i would hate to drain my starting battery. I figured i can add a lithium battery which is lighter and i can place under the driver seat

any thoughts or suggestions? ive seen those Dakota Lithium 12v 54AH

any feedback would be appreciated

I just picked up a 2021 gas L6 EFI Premium and will be passing my old big block G9 to my brother and his son. Really wanted the forward facing seats for my wife's aging parents. I have been in the rear seat and it can be a white knuckle ride. I have been a Yamaha owner a long time but I do really like the L6 so far.
