Re: Precedent starter smoking
That's what I seen when I looked but didn't know if it would possibly work. Thanks for the help. I'll keep looking.

Re: Precedent starter smoking
back feeding to the S/G through the green wire means voltage regulator has puked.
Replace it with oem and have the S/G repaired. I agree with everyone here, OEM cost more but you only spend it once!!!! |

Re: Precedent starter smoking
Just bought the one from ebay that was posted here. He said it's new just used to test. Hopefully it works as described. Comes with ebay money back guarantee. Also bought a new oem voltage regulator. So Hopefully I'll be back in business. I tried looking for the wiring diagram for a 2007 precedent just so I can verify where everything should go but can't find a good one. Anyone have a link? Thanks

Re: Precedent starter smoking
I'm seriously ready to burn this cart to the ground...Just got the new starter and installed it with the wiring diagram above. I put a new voltage regulator and solenoid and I still get nothing but clicking at the solenoid. I'm not sure where to go from here. Any ideas?

Re: Precedent starter smoking
Battery fully charged? Should have around 12v at the posts.
When the solenoid clicks, check for 12v reaching the SG on the white cable. |

Re: Precedent starter smoking
Ok so originally I followed the manual that was posted above and put yellow wire to F2 and white to DF. Had the jumper between A1 and F1 and A2 to ground. Had nothing but clicking at solenoid. I swapped white to f2 and yellow to DF and it runs. Does that sound right?
