missing precharge resistor cause performance issues?
my cart is missing the 250 ohm 5W pre charge resistor. This is the one that allows small amount of current to bleed over the contactor to maintain charge of the controller capacitors and prevent contactor welding and damage to controller. I read that in an alltrax paper. If mine is missing would that cause the controller to not output the proper current/voltage? the cart will barely pull itself...I have ordered a new resistor, a diode and a fuse from cloud electronics...Hopefully the curtis controller is not damaged. any input would be appreciated. thanks, Gene

Re: missing precharge resistor cause performance issues?
The resistor is not necessary, only run one if you want to...
This is not a resistor issue - Sounds like a wiring or battery problem to me |
