Default Except for Spring Gobbler season its over untill

Another one has come and gone and will be another page in our
chapter . Chalk it up good or bad, we all look forward to it each year.
Stomping through the woods , getting our tail froze off, skeeter bit
chigar bit and rained on. We Love it and cant wait untill Sept. of the
next season .

Hopefuly your season was a goodun.
Now what do you do, mend minds, sore bones and aching muscles
from climbing trees. And run through your mind How that Hoss got by you
without you seeing him .

Do you just wait till next year, or freshin up your food plots
plant again, or make new ones.
Do you trade off that gun though you new it was on the money when you sighted it in. But missed that biggun .

Whats your after season plans ???

I plan to do some scouting during spring gobbler season then stay out of the woods until July or August. I'll probably renew my food plot this year but will wait on the weather to decide when. Most likely it will be in August. Since we're seeing turkeys around here again for the first time in several years, I'll probably plant something that both deer and turkey will like.
I missed the big outdoor show up in PA this year but hope to hit one of the smaller local ones.

I plan to hunt some turkeys and do some hog hunting on a co-workers place with my bow.

3D archery will have to do until I can shoot real deer in the fall.

I still don't know about the wild hog hunting with a bow.. Something just still doesn't seem right about that. I have seen how aggressive boars get. I thing I would rather have a gun...

I went to deer camp this last weekend. Looked for sheds with no luck. I decided I'm going to plant some peanuts in May. Should be a good attractant for deer till fall plantings.
I also need to make some tree protectors. I planted some oaks a couple of years ago and deer keep eating the tops off. I lost one to the bushhog and another to a hog or some other animal rooting it up.
When we arrived at camp electricity was off. Ended up a breaker was thrown up line from us. Power Co. had us back on in a couple of hours. A friend mine has a small camper there and must have forgoten to winterize. Saturday afternoon I kept hearing some strange noises and traced it to his camper. Water was flowing from under the door. So he will have a spring project.
I still need to panel the inside of my cabin and put some lockable storage area on rear porch. Too much to do and not enough time. Good hunting, Mike

OH Man, Id hate to be him , Winterizing is a have to thing up there.
I bet he will not forget again... He will probably be better off getting another
huntin camper after he gets into repairing it. New floors, plumbing and anything else the water got to...
I have seen a number of campers for sale lately some purty reasonable.
I dont have one, I'll be ruffing it in a tent this next year Brrrrrrrrrrrrr.........
Wish I did have a camper, only thing about that is getting in to it for me.
I've yet to see a doorway wide enough on one that will accept a wheelchair
through it. Unless its customized wider it aint gonna happin. There for the tent is my only option.
