Default Battery Charger question

Prolly a simple question for most of you. My 2003 CC DS (48v) came with a charger. Can I keep this charger plugged in to the cart for weeks at a time when I am away from the campsite so its ready when we arrive, or should I plug it in when I get to the site and then just wait for it to charge? tks

Do both.
The OBC will tell the charger to come on after 15 days and top them off.
When you get to it, unplug the charger and plug in back in and charge. It may not take that long.
You could get a battery saver product that will keep them in float mode all the time.
There are posts about them and the suggested models.

That I can not say at the moment. It is on site at the campground. Bad on me for not getting that info when I was there last.

If it is a Powerdrive, Powerdrive2 or Powerdrive3, they are all CC OEM chargers and designed to work with your OBC and just as Raystar described above. If it is a aftermarket charger, we have to see if it is an OBC initiated or stand alone automated.
