Default Tire question

I have a 2003 DS without a lift and looking to keep it stock height and will be looking for some new wheels and tires I wanted to find out if anyone on here is running 215/40x12 tires with a stock suspension and are you having any rubbing/clearance issues cause have read conflicting stories about the rubbing/clearance issues with out a lift ?
Looking at the specs it shows to only be 1/2 more in diameter at 18 1/2 inches vs 18 inches
