Default Another what Lithium should I get thread ;)

Here's my current setup,
2015 G29/Drive
-3" spindle lift, 20" terrain tires, rear seat, and various led lights
-Motor and controller are both stock and that is likely the plan to stay with, at least for now.
-Cart will be at the campground throughout the better part of the year and then in a neighborhood with light usage during off season.
-Located in SW Ohio, but not used much is below 40 degree weather.

Currently have generic 6x8v FLA batteries which are done for. looking to go lithium and done with lead acid. My original thoughts are between Allied or BigBattery's - qty. 2 of the 48v 30ah parallels and having the ability to add a third if needed down the road. Eco look and sound nice, but trying to stay under $2k at this moment or at least close to that, and concerned that the 72ah would leave me wanting a 105ah down the road and out a bunch of money. I do understand the buy once, cry once philosophy, but also trying to be frugal while maintaining some manor of future proofing.

I would recommend at least 100Ah for any rig but you could get by with what you are suggesting. The added capacity also generally gives you more current capability which can be marginal on smaller packs.

A single battery is better than multiple batteries for reasons explained many times on this forum. The Eco 72ah single battery output (runtime) exceeds what any 6/8v pack can do new. That's enough for most people. Manufacture told me I could always add another 72 for 144ah if needed. So far there has been no need.

Most those reasons involved multiple BMS not syncing, is that an issues when they are ran in parallel, not in series?

It's not as much of an issue if the batteries are in parallel but the cells in each one are still in series. The reason it's not much of an issue is that your charger is charging them together and they won't have balance issues.

I'm also not against the idea of going with Eco 72ah, just wish I could find a better deal than $2300...closer to the $2k mark ;)

The ECO kit I installed came with everything: Meter, Charger, Voltage Converter, Charge receptical, hardware to mount the battery. If you need all of those things, their price my not be far off. If you don't need all those things, you could ask them if you can get it cheaper.

The only thing I don't believe I need is the Voltage Converter. I already have a nearly identical blue colored one. I did see where I could buy just the batter for $1800, but would still need a charger and their meter also looks pretty nice.

Price of those looks to be similar to the Eco’s. I’d go with Eco if it were me.
