Default new ac motor upgrade

just trying to find out what to torque the new motor bolts down to. I replaced the old bolts because they were only grade 3 not grade 5 like suggested by Club Car. Since there's only three bolts holding all that power to the transaxle, I want to get them as tight as possible without hurting the aluminum transaxle threads. Any advice on torque specs.whould be appreciated. Ps.Or any good ideas others have done.

If you want shear strength use grade 8 bolts.
Torque is not super important, however Over tightening will cause the bolts to stretch and will weaken them, or can pull the threads off.
Snug is about right. I like a dab of blue lock tite on the threads on these.

I prefer to use anti-seize compound and lock washers
1/4-20 bolts torque to 76 inch lbs
5/16-18 torque to 13 foot lbs
I also agree with fairtax4me on the grade 8 bolts, extra strength can't hurt.
When I put the Navitas motor on my cart there were only 3 bolts on the original motor but there were 6 bolt holes so I used 6 bolts. Clean the threads out with a tap before you proceed.

My advice is to follow the torque specifications that are provided in the 2009-2011 Electric Precedent Maintenance and Service Manual.
