Project Precedent to Tremor
So I picked up this 2014 Precedent electric cart last summer as a quick project. Had dead batteries and a ton of dust on it. Found a set of 6 month old Trojans locally from a business owner who’s CC but the bullet.
I put the batteries in and voila. It ran decent but had a terrible “whirring” noise coming from the motor. Pulled the motor and the armature looked like it had gotten wet at some point and it was rubbing on the magnets. I cleaned up the motor blew it all out. Replaced the bearing and brushes put it back together and this thing ran stronger than I expected. According to my phone speedo was hitting about 19mph on stock tires. Well my “quick project” wasn’t so quick. Every time I looked closer I found something else. The front end was all over the place. Found it needed all new bushings, king pins, then was having an alignment issue not when going straight but when turning left. Turns out the arm on the spindle was bent. I managed to round up a take-off on flea bay. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Re: Project Precedent to Tremor
Oh did I mention I found the left shackle mount must have hit something and snapped? Fortunately a friend runs a body shop and welded the hell out of it for free of course so I didn’t complain!!

Re: Project Precedent to Tremor
Here is where my project started to get away from me. I got my light kit as I started to pull the cart apart to install I decided to pull all the plastics.
Sent them off to my buddy at the body shop and had it sprayed in Ford antimatter blue color code HX Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Project Precedent to Tremor
Installed a 48v NO 4pin relay feeding a 10amp Reliance voltage reducer which feeds to a small fuse block. All mounted to the bulkhead of the battery compartment. Not knowing how hot the reducer will get I spaced it away from the plastic with a couple #8 washers. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
