Re: Planning Engine Swap
I think I'm to the point when I'm going to run a temp line to the fuel pump (with a fuel filter) try to start the engine
Then, if it runs and sounds OK, teardown and removal of the old engine can begin |

Re: Planning Engine Swap
It starts and runs, so I need to figure out the choke bracket / spring and the throttle bracket / spring
It's loud at idle, with zero exhaust https://youtube.com/shorts/klQuEq9yBt8?feature=share https://youtube.com/shorts/qlQrCrkHRPU?feature=share |

Re: Planning Engine Swap
Are aftermarket headers the only option or will 0ne of the stock Briggs exhaust manifolds fit and work?

Re: Planning Engine Swap
Two options have a starter side exit and two have an oil filter side exit (I believe this will be the option I need)

Re: Planning Engine Swap
Need to figure out if I need to/want run a stock exhaust manifold or an aftermarket headers?
Headers I have found: https://vegascarts.com/products/23hp...f18ce5ec&_ss=r Not sure the 23hp Briggs has the same exhaust port spacing/size? https://www.robertsonstorquetubes.com/golfcarts Anyone else know of a premade header kit and if they are even worth it? Stock Briggs exhaust manifolds are $100 on Ebay |

Re: Planning Engine Swap
The spacing is different on the 18 and 23. VC used to sell the header unwelded so user could adjust spacing. CPP has a header also not sure if it can be bought alone.
