All I did was take out the slack in the throttle cable and our 2019 cart goes 22-23 mph and drives a ton better.

I did the same on my Onward. The max speed I got was about 26 mph but the low speed mode was too sensitive at that tight cable setting, so I gave it a bit of slack and backed it down to 23 mph and that's where I left if.

I just went through this on a new 2023 Onward. Mine would only go 16 mph out of the showroom. The dealer adjusted the gas pedal cable under the floor for me to make it go 22 mph. Obviously he has a lot of experience with this and does not recommend going higher as if you tighten this cable too much you will compromise the low-speed creep mode which I find very useful. 22 mph is fast enough for me. I do not recommend that zip tie mod thing. It is important for daily use to have a safe driver. If you compromise the creep mode or bypass the governor completely you are compromising safety. If you want to take a junker to the drag strip fine, but for a nice cart that is for daily use or by other family members or guests, you don't want to get too aggressive with this IMHO. I'm much happier with the 22 mph capability.
