Have you made any more progress with the cart?

Not really. I got the steering put in but, I’m not happy with the solution. Although the bump steer is gone my turning radius has suffered a lot.

I’ve been working so much lately I had to put the cart on the back burner for a little bit. Hopefully I can get back to it soon.

Got motivated a little today and reconfigured the steering set up. It’s GOOD. Virtually no bump steer and excellent turning radius again. YES! [emoji119]

For those with eagle eyes, you’ll notice the top left mounting bolt for the front A arm is out and the arm is about a half inch outside the existing hole. That’s because I was able to determine that this mount needs to be extended that half inch in order to get the camber to match the opposite side more closely. So I’m going to rebuild that mounting tab today before I mount the front brake calipers.

Rear brake mock up. I cut the mounting brackets out last night. These Miata calipers and discs are going to work pretty well I believe. I’m planning on using the cable actuated parking brake part of the caliper to make cutting brakes since the differential in the axle is open. If it works it should be fun making really tight turns and being able to get traction when one wheel breaks loose, etc.

My 10” wheels were making it impossible to get the rear brakes to work even with the mechanical disc brake set up I bought. So I went ahead and order 14” wheels and tires to ensure clearance of the calipers in the rear. They should be here in a few days.
