Smile Most important components when restoring Gas G2

Hi all,
I'm restoring my late fathers 1989ish Gas G2, I live in New Zealand and I'm ordering parts from USA so ideally I'd get most of what I need before I start. I'm planning a full strip down is there anything experienced members suggest replacing? I am already ordering new clutch/exhaust/king pins from Plowmans carts.
Thanks in advance.

This isn’t an engine part but it’s something I’ve needed to purchase for both G2s I’ve redone

What does your exhaust system look like. They only last so long

Does the cart run now? I would consider buying a new CDI ignition box. They are know to go bad after this many years on them.
I bought mine from Vintage Golf Cart Parts.

Hah, I didn't realize just an open hole to the fuel cap wasn't standard.

The gas cap cover is an important part believe it or not. The cap is vented and acts nicely as a funnel so when it rains you’re almost guaranteed to get water in your gas tank. Which is not great for proper engine operation.
