2018 club car president runs fine then sputters and backfires

I am having problems with my 2018 club car president. My wife, and I breed labrador retrievers. We own 4 labs. We live on 2 acres. I have a large back yard. I use my golf cart to exercise my dogs every evening. I run my labs approx. X miles per day or about 45 min. My problem is now I run the dogs approx. 20 minutes, and the golf cart starts to sputter, and backfire. I hit the gas peddle and the golf cart will move 3 feet and quit. I get out, and turn the key off let it sit for an hour, and try to re-start the golf cart, and it just sputters. It does not move. I let it sit overnight, and in the morning it runs fine for approx. 20 minutes and the same thng happens. Happens every time. I called the dealer, and described the problem, and he suggested draining the gas tank, and put in high octain gas in. I did that, and it does the same thing......It sound to me like maybe something is getting overheated maybe. I am not a mechanic. I recently changed the oil, and put in a new spark plug. Does anyone have a suggestion to what my problem might be? I googled my issue, and found this site. Thanks for any help!!

I hate to say this, but I don't know. I will call the dealer tomorrow, and find out...like I said I am not a mechanic. I can do basic maintence stuff, but that is about all. Thank you for responding.
