Default Front wheel alignment

Well its back together after my one kid (26 yrs old!) decided to put my cart thru a chain link fence, breaking the front axle. as far as wheel alignment, any suggestions. I had in the past had the alignment set dead neutral, but this seemed to cause the cart to wander. Anybody know if "toe in" or "toe out" would be better.

Thx..the cart is back on the road and handles like a corvett. All I have left is some minor body work (scratches and gouges) and new head lights and It's back to pre collision condition.

I just put a Jakes lift under my cart and the instructions said to set the toe end 1/8" in. That seems to work good.

What are you guys using for a reference or measuring point?
Are you using a tape measure or what?

I am having a heck of a time trying to get my rebuild aligned. Any suggestions or pics?

I couldn't find a specific thread on this.

Thanks

I scribe a line down the center of the wheel using a white grease pencil, then set the cart on the ground and roll it forward about 10 feet. After that I do the alignment using a tape measure.

u could also run a string down both sides of cart and get the front set square to the rear then set the toe 1/8 in. That how we set up the race cars but we run toe out

I have a 1993 marathon that needs aligning. which way do you turn the nuts on each end of the alignment bar that the tie rod ends go into? I guess i also need to hold the bar with vice grips or something so i can turn them? I tried to turn them but nothing happened so i was afraid to turn too hard.
