Default Full Throttle ONLY!

Hey Gang, Need some help. I have a 79 club car, alum. chassis, 5 solenoid,36volt cart. It only wants to go FULL THROTTLE!!! If I try to creep real slow, the front end starts bucking and almost pulls wheelies! I have replaced the rotary go pedal switch and no better.

i,m not sure where the micro switches are located on a 79 but 1st thing jack the rear up get wheels off ground........put car in gear and key on......slowly start pressing the pedal and listen for the clicks..........if all speeds were working you would hear 5 faint clicks each faint click followed by a louder one that is the micro switch activating followed by the solenoid activating.............1st one is the master ( furthest left ) thats power for the cart the other 4 are your speed........chances are good that you have 2 or even 3 bad solenoids......so make sure all resistor coils that are mounted to solenoids are not broke, touching each other and any of the actual coils arn,t touching one another or in real crappy condition....make sure buss bar is good.......you can spray either WD--40 or PB blaster on the nuts holding cables and wires to solenoids on and the ones holding solenoids on........get them ready........the best thing to do is buy all 5 if you can and replace them all most cases when you have several bad ones its not long before good ones follow............make sure the micro switches and the small wires going to them are all good, when your satisfied than disconnect main battery positive and negitive cables and replace the 2nd and 3rd solenoids from the left, get everything hooked back up and press the pedal and the 2nd loud click you hear the wheels should start slowly turning the next click they should turn faster and so on till your floored..........if your 4th solenoid dosn,t work you,ll have to replace that one also ........its easier to just replace them all and if you have a good one left you can keep it as a spare..........good luck......................

Tom..Thanks for the feedback..when you say left or right, are talking about standing behind the cart or in front of the cart? standing behind the cart, from left to right, the first two are new, 3 4 5 are old.

drivers side of cart #1 is master and than you have 4 speeds........if the 1st two are new than you should have 1st speed so it seems your missing 2nd and 3rd speed that would account for the jerkiness................i would replace the other 3 of them after you make sure micro,s and wires are good....that should give you a real nice smooth ride......................
