Re: 1997 club car powerdrive plus,no solenoid click
Do both solenoids click?
If they bot click then test the motor by removing all 4 cables from the motor. With the rear wheels Off the ground: Install a jumper from A1 to F1. Jumper from A2 to F2. Connect a 12v source positive to A1, and negative to A2. The motor should spin. If it does not, there is a problem in the motor and it will need to be removed and repaired or replaced. |

Re: 1997 club car powerdrive plus,no solenoid click
Well you know that one is good. I would switch it with the one that is not working and do away with the regen. But that's just me.
Either way, you will have to replace that solenoid or find out why it is not closing. |

Re: 1997 club car powerdrive plus,no solenoid click
Did you test it before installing? If so, it looks to me as if you are not getting a negative because they share the positive.

Re: 1997 club car powerdrive plus,regen 1
Or could it be Obc? The obc has a brown burnt mark on it from inside.
Found online obc #101800608,is this the correct one? |

Re: 1997 club car powerdrive plus,no solenoid click
If the OBC was bad neither solenoid would click. Both solenoids negative goes to the controller.
If you check voltage on the solenoids small terminals while the they are engaged you will probably see voltage on both sides of the drive solenoid, whereas you'll only have voltage on one side of the brake solenoid. You can bypass the drive solenoid by putting both large cables on the same post and see if the car will operate. Be sure to remove the pack negative first. Actually just found this in the service manual for a 96 so I think it should be similar for yours. Quote:
