"Precision" Batteries?
Anybody ever heard of or used the brand "Precision" battery. Place has got them on sale near here for $69.95 each (6v). I know the old saying get what you pay for, but sounds pretty good for new ones--at least around here.

Re: "Precision" Batteries?
Are these what you're lookin at?
https://www.pascobattery.com/golf/ba...200-ah-6v-golf I don't see much other on google. These carry a 12 mo warranty and 30 mo prorated according to site. I've not seen any other golf cart batteries with a prorated warranty. Rated capacity @ 200amh. Weight: 65 lbs. It is a private brand. I believe made in china. The specs are good, if true. At 65 lbs, it has plenty of lead. Are you going to go there to buy? If so, take your voltmeter, you don't want to buy dead batteries. That's a scary good price but it could be for 1 of 2 reasons. 1: They are junk and they are trying to dump them. 2: Because they are not a name brand, they cannot sell em, even though they are a good battery. If these were being offered by a local dealer, I would surely go take a look. I would ask if they will have them in stock 12 months from now in case there's a warranty issue, if not will they replace with similar battery at no cost. What is prorated adjustment? How will it apply to another brand if they no longer carry this brand. Where they shipped dry? When were they filled? What is the date stamp? Who stamped it? These could be a good buy or not. But if you are buying from a reputable dealer, who you feel will be still around 3 years from now, and you trust to back up their product, then it's a good buy. |

Re: "Precision" Batteries?
Thanks dog. Had never heard of the company "Pasco" until today. Seems as though they are in several states along the east coast. They have a store in Chesapeake Va I might visit in a day or 2 on my way to the beach. I'll check them out then. Thanks for your input.

Re: "Precision" Batteries?
As long as the specs are true, I would do the same.
Update us when you get em. |

Re: "Precision" Batteries?
I recently purchased 6- 8v Precision batteries. I have no complaints thus far. They charge well and seem to last every bit as long as my previous batteries (workaholic U8VGC).We used the cart extensively, 15 yo daughter, on a week long vacation recently. Charging was a lol shakey at first but I understand that is normal for the first 20 charges or so. After that, the charges smooth and lasted a full day with a load of teenagers. I am currently purchasing a power regulator to keep them even while lights are being used. So far, so good. I will update if problems arise :)
