1995 48 volt club car charging problem

We are having problems getting the charger to kick on with this car. we plugged the charger into another car and it kicks on right away. we have 50 volts across the batteries. we have tried a jumper wire from the black wire on back of recepticle to main neg battery did not work. we have tried jumper from grey wire back of receptile to main neg did not work. tried jumper from small yellow wire on back of solenoid to main neg still did not work. can anyone give us an idea on what may be the case. if it is a bad obc how can you test for a bad obc where charger does not work. we have even tried another 48 charger going from main positive to main neg and still does not kick that charger on.

Ok if we hook a 48 volt Yamaha charger to main neg and positive then it works with Yamaha recepticle!

You have a bad connection from pack positive to charger receptacle.
If you take your voltmeter set to 200VDC, red probe on positive charger receptacle/socket on cart and the black probe on pack negative, you should read pack voltage.

Something is not correct in the information you provided.

When You plug the charger into the socket on a club car, current flows from the +48v pack voltage, thru the relay coil in the charger back to the "sense wire" in the charger socket to the OBC for the negative connection.

If the charger works on another car as stated, it has to turn on if you jump the "sense wire" (gray) to the pack negative.

If it does not, there is a connection issue with the socket or the wires connected to it. Take the receptacle apart and look for corrosion or loose wires.

I just got off phone with club car and they stated that the computer sends signal to charger to turn on and off. All wires testing ok with ohm meter. Gonna try jump wire in charger to bypass computer.

Are you putting the meter probes on the socket itself when testing ?
Do not put probe on back of socket as that does not eliminate corrosion in the contacts themselves?

If you jump the sense wire to pack negative, the OBC has nothing else to do with turning the charger relay on.
