Default battery change over

Is there any reason a car battery won't work in my cart? Have changed low original cart battery out with car battery, and it runs the lights but won't turn over the engine.

If the battery fits it will work.
you may have a blown fuse.
Does it click?

It doesn't click - I'm looking for a fuse but can't find one.

The switch at the gas pedal #13 may be bad.

What model cart do you have? There is a 10amp fuse that if it blows, the cart will not do anything as far as starting. G2/G9 are located on drivers side rear fender well, G16 drivers side in a small black box right under seat.

Thanks for the help. It was the fuse. I talked to a bunch of people and they said the fuse could be anywhere.

The fuse is a 10amp and located in a square black box about 6" by 6" directly under the drivers butt. The fuse was hard to find. Coverd in dust and it was a small 1" square with a rubber cap that was hard to see because it was under the wires kind of hidden.

Found the fuse, changed it out, wife is now happy.

Thanks.

Note that if you do not ground your lights that can blow the fuse. Carts do not ground the frame, if you use it for ground you have to put a ground on it...at least yamaha does it that way. Everything ground has its own wire.
