Air Ride
Where is everyone getting the air ride suspensions from and are they only for specific carts?

Re: Air Ride
There are no 'kits' for a golf cart. I built mine out of Monroe air shocks and the standard air ride parts (compressor, tank, solenoid, air lines).

Re: Air Ride
oh, thanks. I love making stuff work that doesn't really belong. Sounds like another fun project.

Re: Air Ride
I had a blast doing mine. But with all projects they are never done. I would like to do another one, but dont really want to let this one go.

Re: Air Ride
i was just looking at the Quick Shot P/N 25572 "double quick shot" It says its just the tank, pump, & controller. That and some air shocks should do it right? Now, I have pretty heavy springs in the back so my question is, does the air ride just replace the shocks? I can drive my cart with no shocks at all and it still has a very stiff suspension. Rear has 4 leafs and front has 2. I actually drove it around for the first six months and didn't realize that both of the rear shocks were broken.

Re: Air Ride
Remove some of the leaves and just keep the main ones that locate the axles.
That way all the spring is doing is keeping the axles located, and then your air shocks will become your suspension. |

Re: Air Ride
Well now, at the moment my project that I'm most focused on is getting a Diesel engine in it. Let's see what mods I need for that and how nutz I gotta go. I think air ride is going to be the end result for sure.
