Default roof on right?

I have a 1998 Club Car and the roof has water drains at the edge of one end. They are at the back of the roof higher than the front. Shouldn't they be at the front low enough to allow the water to drain out? Looks like the roof can go on either way. RM

Not on this cart. Braces are solid and have L bends at both ends. The back seat kit also is attached to the roof braces in back. RM

I'll check that but the front has braces to the dash area plus they mount to a bracket with screws underneath. I'll look at that though. Thanks. RM

Just looked and the front braces are totally different than the rears. No way they could be swapped. The front is one piece and U shaped with the windshield clips attached across the bottom and up the sides and they are angled back at the top. The rears are two separate pieces and straight up. They may be after market and part of the rear seat kit? Anyway they won't swap. RM

Sometimes when you install a rear seat, depending on the seat, it raises the top in the rear. You can pull the rubber plugs out to see if it will drain right. Heavy duty rear springs will also raise the rear and mess up your drainage. The new style roofs drain in the front. Drill some holes in the front?

I drilled holes in the front of both of my cart toppers... the back ones alone, just didn't drain well,
With the drain holes in front, they run the excess water down the windshield,
and not on the rear seat, or passengers!

Thanks for the suggestions and help folks. I'll just drill a couple holes in front. RM
