Default 99 Club Car DS will not move

I just bought a 99 Club Car DS. Was told all it needed was new batteries. I put new batteries in it tonight. When I went to put it in reverse I got the normal buzz but it sounded weak. As soon I hit the gas pedal the buzz goes away like the batteries are weak. I'm looking for suggestions on if I hooked something up wrong or if I need to do something different. Thanks.

But remind him the OBC will take the charger out at 16 hours and he will have to unplug it for a minute and then plug it back in to restart the charge cycle.....

And OP, it is ESSENTIAL that you season your batteries correctly. This will take several complete charges and you will feel the batteries getting stronger with each recharge.

But always try to write it out for them as you never know if you are explaining it to a Gator fan and we all know they need ALL the HELP we can give them...

Your message does not tell us if the cart is running or not? It just states the buzzer is not working. Are we to assume the cart runs fine then?
