Default club car pathway or 1996 club car 36v to 48v conversion dilemma

Hi guys would like to see if someone can help me out?

I have two carts one is a 2003 48v iq pathway and one is a 1996 club car.

the pathway had a melted harness behind the computer and after getting into the cart and ordering a new controller, batteries, computer, charger receptacle, charger, wiring etc I found out the cart was flooded in salt water. It needs a motor now, I dont know the condition of the rear end and all other electrical components.

The 1996 I have is a resistor 36v and the only thing wrong is the batteries.

My question is would you go further into the pathway and do the motor etc and who knows what else or should i take the batteries, new controller, new receptacle etc and convert this 96 into 48v?

If the conversion is there anyone who can give me any assistance into changing over to 48v? what do i do remove the resistors and v glide? do i need the new computer i got? do i need a new wire harness? what do i need to do? thanks so much

These carts have two different drive systems, the IQ is sepex and the 96 is series. In order to upgrade the 96 to solid state speed control using the IQ components you would have to install a complete drive system which means buying the motor you need - So you are not in a good position to do this with these 2 carts.
The conversion kits for the 36v resistor carts are on my website - links below

scotty if i buy your entry level conversion kit, will i be able to keep the existing 36v motor on the 96? also, the coils would be removed as well as the v glider?
