Question Any tips on installing new vinyl seat covers?

Just got my new set of set covers. Are there any helpful tips before I try to install them?

Bring all pieces indoors for the night and let everything warm up to room temperature. Leave the old ones on if possible. Don't hesistate to undo your work and adjust as you go. Good luck!

I usually compress it with my body weight then stretch the vinyl so its a real right finish..

If at all possible stretch the new cover over the old one, sometimes if you remove the old cover the foam pad shifts around and makes it hard to get straight.

I have found that the seats get extremely hard if you put one cover over another. Maybe you could use it though if your foam is really old...

sorry for the bump, but, I put Katzkin seat kits in vehicles so i thought i could chime in with some experience from that end...take it really slow, dont stretch too much or you will rip the fabric...you can throw the vinyl in a microwave too to get more pliability or in the sun for a bit if you are fortunate enough to still have nice weather now.

if the foam moves, get some super77 spray adhesive to help keep it in its original spot, you could even put some on the vinyl too
