New batteries no power at all to motor or reverse buzzer

On IQ and Excel carts if the solenoid is already closed (welded contacts) when the Controller activates it, the cart will default to half-speed.

You can measure the voltage between the solenoid big posts, with the key OFF, to make sure it is not 0v.

I have full voltage at both post on terminal with key off. Since i have the mcor im going to try it tomorrow. I guess it is possible it is set to speed code 1.

If that is the case the solenoid is bad.

The voltage on controller side big post should have a few less volts since the pre-charge resistor will cause a voltage drop.

The best way to measure is to place both meter probes on the solenoid, one in each big post.

Ok i thought you have to measure each with posituve probe while negative is grounded on battery pack. I get 0 when both of my probes on each post at the sametime.

I assume you have a pre-charge resistor and not a piece of wire between the two posts.

The solenoid contacts are sticking closed, replace the solenoid and you will have full power.

Currently i have nothing between the two posts. Should i have a pre charge resistor there when checking voltage?

I picked up another identical precedent today so i will take your advice and switch solenoids to check before purchasing another.
