Default Key switch

I have a ezgo PDS cart. I just installed the alltrax controller and it is not getting power.

I started at the key switch and read a bunch, my key switch has 4 wires from my understanding 1 wire is always HOT and when you turn the switch all the way on all 4 wires should have power correct??

No!

Two sets of contacts. One for battery pack voltage (36V) and the other for lights (12V). (See attached)

---------------
As for the XCT controller:
Check for full battery pack voltage on J1 Pins 4 & 5 with Run/Tow in Run.

Ok, is there a way to check the key switch for continuity?

Also what else would cause the altrax controller to not have any power.

1. Check the voltage in and out. Should be the same.

2. A lot more things. You have to troubleshoot.

Like I said in my previous post, check for battery pack voltage on J1 Pins 4 and 5. It should be there 100% of the time, unless battery charger is plugged into cart, then there might not be voltage on Pin-4. Voltage measurements are made with cables plugged in, so you have to probe the backside of the plugs.

I there is voltage there, check for battery pack voltage on J3 Pins 1, 2, 3 & 4 (Checks Run/Tow switch) and on J1 Pins 8 and 9 (Checks Keyswitch).

With no charger connected to cart, Run/Tow switch in Run and Keyswitch on, if you get full battery pack voltage at all 8 of the pins I mentioned, the LED on the XCT ought to flash green 4 time and go to steady green.

No voltage on J1 Pin-5.

Glad to hear you found it.
