1. Test the motor.
Jack up rear of cart and put on jackstands.
Connect motor as shown on attached drawing.
Then then swap the F1 and F2 leads, probably marked S1 and S2 on your DCS motor.

2. If it runs okay, it is likely to be a bad controller. The stock DCS (Curtis 1206SX) is a failed design, replace it with an Alltrax XCT48400-DCS and a higher rated solenoid, 200A minimum.

Here is where I got my XCT: https://www.cartsunlimited.net/alltrax-xct-sepex--.html

Ok thanks ill do that when i get home from work tomorrow. When i swapped the F1 and F2 lead on the controller it still did the same thing it was doing before. Will jacking it up and swapping at the motor possibly give me a different outcome? Sorry for all the questions just trying to absorb as much info as i can.

Oops!

I forgot to attach the drawing of testing the motor connected directly to battery power, eliminating the controller.

Here is the drawing.

It is going to draw a lot of amps and might weld a cable end to a stud. Best to use an interrupter of some kind. Maybe wire it through the solenoid.

Replace it with an Alltrax XCT48400-DCS (or larger) and a 200A or larger solenoid.

Here is where I got mine: https://www.cartsunlimited.net/alltrax-xct-sepex--.html
